This is tonight's dinner, it was Sesame Noodles. It is such an easy and filling meal. To make it in a hurry you need to have the secret ingredient made before hand and frozen. I made that up today and it used some and froze the rest. You steam a small cauliflower, include the stem and whizz up two raw zucchinis, add lemon juice and then the cooked cauli. Puree up. Here's what it looks like:
Cook noodles or thin spaghetti (500g) and drain in sink. In the bowl you are going to serve it in mix
1 TBS brown sugar
1 TBS sesame oil
3 TBS soya sauce
1/4 cup tahini (I preferred the hulled for favour although unhulled is better for you)
1 cup of the cauli puree
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3 teaspoon crushed garlic or 3 cloves
As I'm feeding lots of men I cooked chicken breast in teryaki sauce and sliced up
Mix this together and add cooling noodles, toss and coat.
Add sesame seeds and spring onions on top. Very quick if puree is already cooked and no meat is added, but even so it didn't take long :o)

When slightly cool, cut up in chunks, removing seeds (capsicum) and stems etc. Add more oil, salt, pepper, lemon juice, cayenne pepper. Whizz in food processor but keep it chunky. You can add garlic but this time I didn't.

These are onion biscuits and we will eat them with an eggplant, garlic,capsicum and olive oil blend. They really are very nice, such a shame to have lost some but I made another two trays and they were perfect. Yum!
We really felt like something a bit different for dinner tonight. This is a really cheap meal, creamed polenta, which is polenta, milk, water and the smallest amounts of butter, salt and fresh parmesan cheese. On top was garliced mushrooms (we have a box farm), parsley (popped up under the back tap) salt pepper and water. Some rocket on top. (The goat ate our last bit so I bought a rocket mix from the shops. Sigh)
It was really light but filling, definitely ticked the something different box!
This one is icier with a creaminess.
250mls water and dissolve in a saucepan 110 gms of raw sugar. Leave to cool.
In a blender add cooled sugar water, 500 gms fruit of choice (I used raspberries) and 500ml cream. Whizz.
Pour into a container that can go into the freezer. During the cooling process use electric beaters to break up any large crystals forming. I only did it once on this because I forgot and went to bed :o)
As you can see I tried it this morning and it's very nice but next time I'll put the raspberries through the sieve to remove the seeds.

This is for you Gill :o)
We finally got a new stove! Very exciting, very simple base model type gas stove. Very little to go wrong and the oven even heats up to the temperature the dial is turned too! This is very novel and something I've not had before ;o)
The stove is in the position of the old fridge and fridge where the stove was. It flows better in the kitchen. The next little job is to put a small storage and tiny bench on the left hand side, I plan to store the oven trays etc there. I don't think we can match the purple benches so I'll put groovy tiles instead.
